Despite what one hears from far right politicians and commentators, it’s not the drag queens grooming and molesting children, it’s members of the religious communities.

While a pastor at the Lewark Church of God in Kansas,

William Dodd was charged with two counts of rape of a minor. Court documents say Dodd allegedly raped a 12 or 13 year old two times between January 1st and September 11th of this year. If convicted, Dodd could face life in prison, with no chance of parole for at least 25 years.

A music teacher and preacher from Rankin County in Mississippi has been convicted of a sex crime.

Samuel Lamar Taylor, 52, was convicted of one count of sexual battery and one count of gratification of lust.

Police received a call from Richland Upper Elementary School concerning an 11-year-old autistic child disclosing sexual abuse.

At least one other victim alleged Taylor abused him from 1990-91 when Taylor worked as a counselor at the YMCA in Jackson. He will be sentenced facing life imprisonment for the sexual battery and a maximum sentence of 15 years for the gratification of lust.

William Pinckney Carpenter III, a church youth leader in South Carolina who was arrested last year for multiple sex crimes against children has been arrested again after another victim spoke out to investigators.

Last year, Carpenter was arrested for multiple counts of assault with intent to commit criminal sexual conduct and sexual conduct with a minor. Carpenter was a youth leader at Eastview Baptist Church in Rock Hill and Grace Chapel Baptist Church in York when four of the alleged offenses took place, according to warrants.

He had been released on bonds totaling more than $150,000 while those charges were pending trial. Some of the victims in those cases were as young as seven.

Seven years old.  I’m sure they would have much rather been at a Drag Story Hour.
