News Briefs April 23, 2023 Amber’s Alter-cations

Alter-cations is a new segment here on Amber Live to bring attention that while state legislatures are proposing and passing laws condemning and targeting the gay/drag/trans communities for so called grooming and sexual exploitation of children, they ignore where the real grooming and exploitation is happening – inside their religious schools and churches.

Here are this week’s examples.

Ed Wilds the third,

Ed Wilds youth pastor Palatka Baptist Temple Church

is – or should I say was - a youth pastor at Palatka Baptist Temple Church and a Middleton-Burney Elementary School teacher in Putnam County, Florida until he was arrested and charged for possessing child pornography.

According to investigators, Wilds used the church’s WIFI to download 54,000 images to associated accounts and devices.  They also said he used various social media websites to communicate with other people who enjoyed child pornography AND he’s suspected of sending nude pictures of himself to children.

Meanwhile in Oklahoma, middle school principal and youth pastor Cody Barlow

was formally charged with two felony counts of lewd or indecent acts with a child under the age of 16.  A federal lawsuit filed reveals graphic allegations of Barlow’s “grooming behavior” towards students.

One of his middle school counselors walked into Barlow’s office and witnessed Barlow standing behind a 7th grade boy, rubbing the teen’s shoulders and thrusting his hips back and forth against the boy, according to the lawsuit.

And it’s not just the religious men that are horndogs.  Thirty-six-year-old Kristen Gantt

Kristen Gantt Dowling Catholic High School in Des Moines, Iow

An English teacher at Dowling Catholic High School in Des Moines, Iowa, has been arrested for an alleged sexual relationship with a student.

Police arrested Ms Gantt on two counts of sexual exploitation by a school employee.  School administrators supplied police with surveillance footage that appeared to show Gantt and the student in her classroom alone behind a locked door. The window on the door is shown to be covered up by a piece of paper, according to the warrant.

The Iowa legislature recently passed anti-gender affirming care laws, a “Don’t Say Gay” law, and proposed a bill that would not allow minors to attend drag shows.

To paraphrase the late, great Aretha Franklin, “who’s groomin’ who”?
