Danny Alias is a house music artist and playwright originally from Norridge, Illinois. In 1984, he co-founded the record label Persona Records with David Bell. They released the single "Civil Defense," an early Chicago house track that was played by pioneering DJ Ron Hardy. Persona Records went on to release the first singles by artists like Jamie Principle and Frankie Knuckles. "Civil Defense" was re-issued in 2012 by French label Kill the DJ.
