What is the Winter Sport of Skijoring?
In Colorado, it’s the time of year for skijoring. That’s where you mash up rodeos with ski racing. It’s like water skiing, but instead of water it’s snow; and instead of a boat, you’re pulled by a horse down a street.
In skijoring, you go as fast as 40mph, until your face goes numb. This is an adrenaline junkie’s dream! As one rider said, “the scariest part is getting started, and then you’re just flying...and trying not to die.” Obviously this isn’t her first time at the rodeo.
